Antenna Experts quadrifilar helix antennas are rugged all weather model, enclosed in a ABS radome, uses high class copper alloy and does not require any field tuning or adjustments. The compact size of omni-directional quadrifilar helix antenna allows easy handling, shipping and highly suitable for receiving, transmitting, scanning, monitoring, surveillance and jamming applications. The quadrifilar helix antenna circular polarized omni antenna comprises two bifilar helical loops oriented in mutual orthogonal relationship on a common axis. The terminals of each loop are fed in anti-phase and the currents in the two loops are in phase quadrature.

QHA Series RHCP omni or LHCP omni antennas are high suitable as base station antenna for Ground To Air communication application without having the requirement of multiple antennas. All junctions of quadrifilar helix antenna( QHA antennas ) are fully welded to prevent RF inter-modulation and antenna is completely protected within a high-tech ruggedized fiber glass or ABS radome to ensure survivability in the worst environments.

QHA Series quadifilar helix antennas available in both circular polarization sense LHCP or RHCP with multiple choice of mounting hardware be it for mast mounting for base station applicable or be it for civilian vehicular mounting application or be it for NATO 4 holes military vehicular mounting application or be it for man-pack application. Other type of mounting hardware / configuration can be supplied on request.

QHA Series Quadrifilar Helix Antennas are highly suitable for weather satellite communication, telemetry application, Earth Observation Missions, Space Science Missions, Global Navigation Satellite System GLONASS , L band GPS application including GPS L1, GPS L2 & GPS L5 band without having the requirement of multiple antennas. RHCP omni or LHCP omni antenna termination fitted at bottom of mounting flange for complete weather protection.

The RHCP omni quarifilar helix antenna or LHCP omni quadrifilar helix antennas are consisting of two pairs vertical loop radiating elements at right angles to each other, twisted into helix turns vertically and enclosed in ABS radome. The special "Teflon Dielectric Transmission Line" technique is used to handle high power handling capacity allowing smooth VSWR and good gain over the specified frequency band.

The UV resistant ABS enclosure has excellent transparency for RF signals and enough strength to withstand specified wind loads of these quadrifilar helix antenna. The stainless steel mounting hardware is supplied with the quadrifilar helix antenna. Cylindrical shell/enclosure is used for low wind loading and for minimal effect of ice formation on the quadrifilar helix antenna operation as well as providing an aesthetically pleasing appearance.

The QHA series of circular polarized quadrifilar helix antenna consist of high quality copper radiating elements fed anti-phase and the currents in the two loops are in phase quadrature and enclosed in fiber glass tube. The QHA series quadrifilar helix antenna termination is enclosed at bottom of the antenna for complete weather protection. QHA series quadrifilar helix antenna is strong enough to withstand an ice storm, and will also do well in a shoreline environmental conditions. The marine grade type 316 stainless steel mounting hardware is supplied with the RHCP QHA or LHCP QHA antenna.

The QHA line of quadrifilar helix antennas are marine variant antennas and RF Transmission assembly is completely sealed and weather proofed to protect in harsh environments such as salt water, extreme humidity, wind, sand, snow and ice. These quadrifilar helix antennas are low-profile antennas use Circular Polarization Antenna Technology - which delivers better penetration through obstruction and interference to minimize the effects of multipath interference. Thease commercial grade quadrifilar helix antenna provides superior performance as compare to significantly larger and more expensive products.

QHA-1117 broadband hemi omni-directional LHCP hemi omni quadrifilar helix antenna or RHCP hemi omni quadrifilar helix antenna is rugged all weather model, enclosed in a ABS radome, uses high class copper alloy and does not require any field tuning or adjustments. The compact size of LHCP or RHCP omni-directional quadrifilar helix antenna allows easy handling, shipping and highly suitable for receiving, transmitting, scanning, monitoring, surveillance and jamming applications for GPS L1, GPS L2, GPS L3, GPS L4, GPS L5, GPS L6, IRIDIUM, GLONASS, and INMARSAT bands without having the requirement of multiple antennas.

The antenna is also highly suitable for Ground to Air communication/jamming application due to its wide elevation beamwidth with omni-directional properties. Antenna termination fitted just below the NATO mounting flange for complete weather protection. Other type of mounting hardware / configuration can be supplied on request.

The QHA-450 LHCP omni or RHCP quadrifilar helix omni antenna is consisting of two (pair) vertical loop radiating elements at right angles to each other, twisted into a helix turns vertically and enclosed in ABS radome. The special “Teflon Dielectric Transmission Line” technique is used to handle high power handling capacity allowing smooth VSWR and typical 2dBi. gain over the entire specified frequency band.
